Fun at the Botanical Gardens...
We had such a relaxed and fun time at the Botanical Gardens. Tim (Freddie's dad) bought us some hot chips for lunch. We were absolutely appreciative!
Our trip to the Butterfly House and Botanical Gardens
Arlo, Madi, Rosa, Anton and Kahu enjoy the butterflies landing on them.
It was really hot at the top of the Butterfly House.
Josie standing under the waterfall to cool down.
Do you think Bruno knows that there is a butterfly on his hat?
The butterflies enjoyed Arlo's bright colours on his top!
Jake was impressed to see swan plants and caterpillars at the Butterfly House.
We got to see some butterflies from Asia being released into the Butterfly House.
Nicholas couldn"t believe that some of the butterflies land in the pond and drown...

Brain Rest Time...
Jake, Kahu and Roland get creative!
Arlo and Charlie think carefully about their creation...
Throughout the day in our class, we need to have little chill out times where our brain doesn't have to work so hard. This is one of our activities that we enjoy doing. "Creating imaginative things with our playdough".
Our Monarch Butterflies...
Today we let our butterfly go free. The Monarch Butterfly hatched from its chrysalis in our classroom. By Arlo

Meet our special class friends...
We have 3 special friends in our class - Harold, his Uncle Harold and Brother Harold.
our Our special friends travel with us around New Zealand and around the wider world.
Harold (on your left) just spent a week in Brisbane where he went to Dream World and enjoyed a lot of the fun rides. He also watched Kane and the Junior Blacksticks compete in the Junior World Cup Qualifier on the Gold Coast. The Junior Blacksticks did qualify. Therefore, Harold is hoping to go to India at the end of the year to support the team at the Junior World Cup!
